Charlie Hawkins is a Vice President, Financial Advisor. A graduate of Georgetown College with a BS degree in accounting, Charlie is very active in his church and the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky, where he currently serves as the treasurer. He is an avid golfer, loves to travel with his wife, Melanie, and is a semi-professional barbecue pit master and sports enthusiast. Charlie also loves to spend time with his family and friends, especially his two beautiful grandchildren.

Darryl Metzger

Darryl Metzger is a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, and Chartered Wealth Advisor at Baird. Darryl previously served as the head of Hilliard Lyons Private Client Group. Darryl graduated from the University of Kentucky, earned his MBA from Bellarmine University and is also a graduate of the Securities Institute from the Wharton School. Darryl is very community-oriented and has served as past chairman for the Louisville Zoo Foundation, former board member of Saint Xavier High School and past chairman of the Kentucky Better Business Bureau. Darryl and his wife, Teresa, have three grown children, Barrett, Mitchell and Natalie. 

Chris Carpenter, CFP®, CPA


Financial Advisor



A native of Louisville, Chris Carpenter holds a BA in history from Furman University, a BS in accounting with high honors from the University of Louisville, and is a Financial Advisor at Baird. He has also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP(R)) designation and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). After teaching at a university in China for three years, Chris returned to Louisville in 2004. Prior to his time at Baird, he worked for one of the Big Four accounting firms and in a family business. Chris leverages his experiences and skills to assist clients in building a better financial future and multigenerational wealth. Chris and Abby have four young children. He and his family enjoy participating in the life of their church and the many activities of their children.
